Cycle Scheme

We developed a kid's bike ideal for use on the road: the CUBE 200 Street with 7 speed Shimano gear system. All the safety features we've built in make the CUBE 200 really confidence inspirit when riding in traffic - both for young riders and their parents. Thanks to a permanently 'on' lighting system with Safestop function, young riders are always easily visible - perfect for big city traffic.

Frame

  • The heat-treated 6061 aluminium frame is available for both boys and girls (with lower standover). As you'd expect, the manufacturing quality and handling is right up there with our adult bikes. CUBE's engineers wouldn't settle for anything less.

Features

  • When we set out to design the CUBE 200 Street our top priority was to make a bike for young riders that was as safe as possible on the road. It was particularly important to us that the LED lighting - driven by the hub dynamo - should work reliably in all weathers. Preinstalled spoke reflectors improve visibility from the side. We've selected a Shimano 7 speed transmission, with powerful V-Brakes front and rear and a power modulator at the front to help prevent accidents caused by over-enthusiastic braking. Transporting belongings is easy thanks to the permanently fixed cargo rack, while mud guards keep young riders clean even when the streets are wet. The CUBE 200 doesn't even need a wall, tree or fence to stay upright, thanks to its built-in stand.

What Frame Size do I need?

There are two basic steps to find out what Frame Size you need:

    1. Measure yourself accurately and carefully.
    2. Compare those measurements to the tables below and figure out which size of frame will fit you best.

Step 1 - Measure yourself accurately:

Our sizing guide considers your Height and Inside Leg measurements to give you two points of reference in order to help you choose the right bike size.

All measurements are best taken in your bare feet and with the help of someone else.

    First, measure your height:
To measure your height, stand upright against a wall with your legs together and shoulders back.

Place a pencil on the top of your head and mark the wall, measure from the floor to the mark and take a note of your height in feet and inches.

    Next, measure your inside leg:
To measure your inside leg, stand barefoot and measure from the floor, up the inside of your leg.

Step 2 - Compare your measurements:

If you want to buy a bike, there’s an even easier way to get a cheaper ride!

    The Basics

Cycle to Work allows an employer to offer an employee a cheaper way to purchase their ideal bicycle.

Choose your bicycle in store, hire it from your employer for an agreed length of time (usually 12 months), and then purchase it for a small percentage of its original price. This usually results in a saving of over 25% from RRP for a standard rate taxpayer. Even greater savings are available for higher rate taxpayers.

The scheme can also be used to purchase relevant safety accessories and clothing for use with the bicycle. For cyclists who already have a bike, some schemes will also allow for “accessory only” applications. Certain accessories are excluding, including but not limited to, computers, aero bars and boot racks.

To find out if you’re registered, ask around your place of work, or with your manager, HR department etc.

    The Rules

Employees can choose a bicycle and/or accessories up to a total of £1000. A small number of employers allow for vouchers over £1000, but this is quite rare.

After receiving your bicycle and redeeming your voucher, you will pay it back through your monthly wage packet, before tax, netting you an average saving of 25%.

At the end of the scheme you will be given the opportunity to purchase the bicycle. This is usually at 5% of the fair market value of the bicycle. This usually amounts to not much more than the previous monthly payments.

Sale bicycles and accessories are not included for purchase on Cycle to Work schemes. Cycle to Work vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other existing offers and/or discount codes.

    Regulations

You pick a bike and/or accessories costing a maximum of £1000 (there are some exceptions where you can go over this if your work holds a consumer credit licence).

Its deducted from your gross salary over a year (you pay less tax and NI), although we accept several scheme vouchers we find this a handy calculator:

    Visit the Cyclescheme Calculator

At the end of the 12-month ‘hire’ period, you buy the bike from your employer for its HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) approved Fair Market Value (FMV).

    *Electric Bikes

Due to the extra weight of electric bikes, we are unable to ship these fully assembled. Instead, your bike will be built, configured and checked by our mechanics before being packed back into it's original box.

If we have sent you an incorrect order or your item is damaged

Should, for some reason, your purchases reach you in a less than perfect condition please contact our helpline immediately on 0141 332 2705 so we can resolve the problem as swiftly as possible.

We will offer, if available, an exact replacement or we can advise on a suitable replacement of similar quality and value.

If you do not wish the item replaced or exchanged a full refund will be given.

In either case we will refund any postal costs incurred by you in returning a faulty or damaged item where we have not been able to arrange a collection by our own courier.
