MTB rear derailleurs

Rear derailleurs, or "rear mechs" as they are sometimes referred to are the mechanisms that move your chain up and down the rear gears and are operated via the rear gear shifter. Rear mechs on road and touring bikes are usually attached to the frame with a simple bolt, but on cheaper bikes, some are mounted directly to the axle. The right rear mech is essential for a clean and crisp gear change. If you need advice on the right rear mech, please don't hesitate to contact us.
